Of the Argus Leader. OK, it was just a teaser photo, but it was on the front page. Then, if you turned to the Life section, there was the old fat Mayor in all his glory!!! Doreen Weinstein did an article on recumbents and called the bike shops to ask them whom to talk to. They all said the same thing, "You need to talk to the Mayor". We had a nice chat on the phone, as she is a very nice lady. She asked a few pointed questions, and then pretty much let me ramble on, about biking in general, and recumbents in particular. Then my old friend from many Tour de Kotas' and special biking events, Elisha Page from the Argus Leader, came out to take a couple of photographs for the article. I hope that maybe, just maybe, someone that likes to ride, or is thinking about riding again will be inspired to at least try a recumbent bike instead of not riding at all. After all, recumbent riders are cool!!!
(either that or they just don't give a damn what people think, they're having too much fun!!!)
On another note, all of the parts for DooBee's spring tune up have arrived, and now I need to get started so if and when it warms up I can get out on the road and try and get ready for this years Tour de Kota!
