Still Here.

I realize it's been awhile since I wrote anything down in this blog. I have been adding tidbits here and there on Facebook, so you can look there if you wish.

Anyway, this winter has been hard on me. Physically and mentally.

Health issues cropped up and added to my misery of another protracted winter. Then came the bills. Even after insurance the bill for that CT scan was over $850, and Doc nailed me for another $350 for telling me that he didn't really know why I had a headache for over a month, but it would probably go away, and look on the bright side, the CT scan revealed no problems. Long story short, the health problems have sorted themselves out with pharmacological help, and it's really starting to look like it might be springtime around here. Most all the snow is gone, but everything is still a dreary brown, albeit with flecks of green thrown in.

I attended Snakebites' Bike Swap, chatted with some old friends, met some new ones, and generally talked of things bikie, and had a good time. The next weekend I went to Spoke-n-Sport
for the Tour de Kota registration party. Now, with all the medical bills coming in I really had my doubts as to my participation in this years tour. I went to the registration party, and decided to bite the bullet and use the damn credit card and get registered, since time was running out to get the cheaper, early registration in. I also put my name in the drawing box for a freebie. Jersey, day or the entire week free to the lucky winner.
I was a lucky winner.

To say that winning gave me a boost that I so desperately needed would be right on the money.
Things are finally looking up, and I am getting excited to get back on the bike and put in some (s)miles!!!!!!
