FAB Spring Kickoff Ride

Beautiful sunshine greeted all the rollers for the 2011 FAB spring kickoff ride yesterday.
Sure, it was just a touch breezy, but this is South Dakota in the spring. Yes Spring! Springtime weather finally arrived here and a lot of rollers took advantage of it with the ride. I didn't count, but it sure looked like 50 or 60 rollers showed up and rode with us on our little 22 mile ride.
Going South with the wind was great! I was averaging 22 mph and riding at 27 and 28 to catch groups to "picherize" them! Of course on the return trip the wind slowed me some, but still I managed to average 16.4 which is my fastest ride to date. Weather has been so bad here I hardly have any miles in. Less than 200 for the year!!!

Well here's hoping for better weather so I can get in shape for the Tour de Kota!!!
